Description
What kind of wine it is
Esse Rosé Metodo Classico Dosaggio Zero is a dry rosé sparkling wine made from Aglianico grapes. The Metodo Classico enhances the identity of the grape variety, revealing a brilliant pink-gold colour and a very fine and persistent perlage. On the nose, there are notes of small red fruits, raspberry and morello cherry, followed by delicate hints of loquat, marzipan and ginger biscuits. On the palate, it is welcoming yet austere, with clear aromas of fruit and spices leading to a warm and dry finish, rounded and remarkably persistent.
Where it comes from
This sparkling wine is produced in Campania, in the renowned Taurasi area of Irpinia. The Dubl brand was created to showcase Campanian grape varieties through bottle refermentation, expressing the region’s deep vocation. The agronomic approach aims for the maximum expression of the vineyard, outlining an authentic character. The rigorous approach to cultivating Aglianico preserves the strength of the soil, giving the wine a pronounced territorial imprint that faithfully reflects its origin.
How it is produced
The vinification of Aglianico is carried out through bottle refermentation, a cornerstone of the Metodo Classico. The wine undergoes a slow ageing of 90 months on the lees, a prolonged rest that develops deep aromatic complexity and superior tactile finesse. The choice of dosaggio zero, with no addition of liqueur d’expédition, ensures an essential, dry and linear flavour profile. This meticulous process enhances the purity of the raw material, offering a sip of great rigour and elegance.
History and Curiosities
Born in 2004 from an idea by Feudi di San Gregorio, the Dubl project enhances Aglianico grapes by combining the soul of Irpinia with the art of bottle refermentation. This exclusive Metodo Classico Dosaggio Zero from 2015, the result of a prestigious collaboration with Anselme Selosse, interprets the Taurasi terroir with elegance. Aged for a remarkable 90 months on the lees, this rosé pas dosé reveals notes of red fruits and marzipan, confirming itself as a multi-award-winning wine acclaimed by critics for its extraordinary persistence and complexity.

To ensure that the result would not be a mere exercise in oenological technique, but an original interpretation of a unique territory, Feudi sought a consultant who was not only a master of the technique, but who knew how to use it to transfer all the qualities of the vine and the territory to the wine.
Thus was born the collaboration with Anselme Selosse, a well-known winemaker from Avize (Champagne), famous for his ability to read the identity of the vineyards, and with it the Dubl project, i.e. the perfect synthesis between technique and the uniqueness of the terroir. Read more
