Description
What type of wine is it
Perlé Rosé Ferrari is a rosé sparkling wine from Trento, produced using the Metodo Classico. This blend combines Pinot Noir with Chardonnay, exhibiting an antique pink colour and a very fine and persistent perlage. On the palate, it reveals a silky entry, supported by an evident structure and soft tannins, while the bouquet releases aromas of raspberry and pink grapefruit, accompanied by delicate notes of yeast. The dry finish and lively mineral tension offer a satisfying sip, ideal for accompanying the entire meal.
Where it comes from
The grapes come from the Ferrari family vineyards, cultivated at altitudes of up to seven hundred metres in the Trento area. The influence of the Alpine climate encourages the development of intense aromas and preserves a vibrant acidity. The characteristics of the mountain soil emerge in a distinct trace of flint that runs through the tasting, providing a dry and taut profile. This defined territorial imprint enhances the precision of the blend, giving it a clear and strongly distinctive character.
How it is produced
After manual harvesting, the first fermentation takes place in steel tanks to keep the varietal fragrance intact. The wine then matures in the bottle following the Metodo Classico, ageing for at least fifty-seven months on selected yeasts. This long stay enriches the structure, integrating fruity hints with enveloping notes of brioche and sweet almond, combined with light smoky nuances. The Brut dosage ensures a dry and persistent finish, providing great gustatory cleanliness and freshness to the palate.
History and curiosities
Founded in 1902, Ferrari defines excellence with this vintage Trentodoc from the Perlé range. Produced from grapes grown at altitudes of up to 700 metres, the wine follows the rigorous Metodo Classico, maturing for a full 57 months on the lees. This long ageing process gives it an aristocratic persistence, establishing it globally as the World Champion Rosé and making it ideal for enhancing the most prestigious toasts.

A skilled and painstaking enologist who had studied at the prestigious School of Viticulture in Montpellier, Giulio created Ferrari in 1902, producing very few, extremely select bottles at a prohibitive price, but which were still never bought to satisfy the demand of wine lovers. In 1952 Bruno Lunelli, the owner of Trento’s best-known wine bar took over Ferrari from Giulio, who continued to work in the winery until his death. Then, thanks to meticulous labour in the winery and his innate entrepreneurial verve, Bruno Lunelli increased production until it reached a hundred thousand bottles a year. In the decades that followed, Bruno Lunelli’s sons, Gino, Franco and Mauro, brought the company, which produces exclusively Classic Method sparkling wines, to the apex of quality and fame - in other words, to the peak of excellence.
Today, as was the case in the past, the Lunelli family continues to be the lifeblood of the Ferrari brand. The third generation runs the company with respect for the past and clear ideas for the future.
Their goal is to preserve the prestige of the leading producer of the Classic Method sparkling wines in Italy and one of the top ten in the world. Whilst proudly maintaining the structure of a family-owned company, the Lunelli have conquered the market through business strategies that have made Ferrari into much more than just a successful brand. The company is a real international legend, producing the best of "Made in Italy". Read more
