Description
What type of wine it is
Puntay Chardonnay by Erste Neue is an organic white wine from the Alto Adige denomination, aged in oak, with a full and elegant profile. Made from Chardonnay grapes, it stands out for its very fine acidity and a bouquet rich in fresh aromas, enhanced by a light hint of vanilla. In the glass, it shines with a light straw-yellow colour and green highlights. It is perfect at the table, enhancing pasta dishes with its pleasantness.
Where it comes from
The grapes come from Caldaro, in the heart of Alto Adige. The vineyards, cultivated with the Guyot system, rest on loose gravelly soil, an ideal matrix for providing balance to the palate and supporting the typical expression of Chardonnay. The influence of the temperate Alpine climate ensures regular ripening, keeping the freshness of each sip intact. In this dedicated area, Erste Neue operates with great agricultural and technical commitment.
How it is produced
The must ferments in large French oak casks and tonneaux. This stage is followed by a slow rest with seven months of ageing inside the same vessels, a decisive choice to define the structure and the sharp aromatic precision of the Chardonnay. The result is a full and pleasant taste.
