Description

What kind of wine it is

Endrizzi Trento Brut is a refined sparkling wine made using the Traditional Method that embodies the winemaking essence of Trentino. Produced from a blend of grapes including Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, it stands out for its dry and gastronomic style. In the glass, it displays a pale straw colour with greenish highlights and a fine, persistent mousse. The aromatic profile is intense, with clear notes of green apple. On the palate, it is savoury, fresh and lively. Thanks to its excellent flavour tension, it is ideal as an aperitif and pairs with versatility with shellfish, seafood dishes, vegetarian recipes, white meats and mature cheeses.

Where it comes from

This sparkling wine originates from the small terraced vineyards of the Val di Cembra. The vines grow in mountainous settings, at altitudes between five hundred and six hundred and fifty metres. The mountain climate ensures a slow ripening that promotes deep flavour tension and marked freshness. The grapes partly come from the Pian di Castello vineyard, a rare plot surrounded by woods and cultivated using the Guyot system for over thirty years. This identity translates into a dry and vertical sip, faithfully reflecting the high and breezy areas of the Trento region, giving the wine its distinctive savouriness.

How it is produced

The production process begins with summer thinning of the bunches and continues with a rigorous manual harvest. The whole bunches undergo gentle pressing to avoid maceration, followed by the first fermentation carried out at low temperatures in temperature-controlled steel tanks. The prise de mousse follows the principles of the Traditional Method. The subsequent ageing on the lees for at least twenty-four months enriches the structure while preserving the wine’s original fragrance. Finally, a minimal dosage ensures that the natural characteristics of the terroir are expressed in the glass with absolute purity.

History and Curiosities

A product of the historic winery founded in 1885, Endrizzi Trento Brut 2022 celebrates the great sparkling wine tradition of the region. This Trento DOC originates from the small terraces of the Val di Cembra, from over thirty-year-old vines cultivated in the rare Pian di Castello vineyard, sheltered by woods. Genuine artisanal care guides every stage of production, from the meticulous hand harvest to the slow ageing on the lees for at least 24 months. A rigorous Classic Method with minimal dosage, capable of offering the palate the lively freshness of the Dolomite landscape.

What are the origins of Trentino Endrizzi’s wines?

Ecological sustainability with respect to the terrain and the cultivation techniques, this is the key to the production of wholesome and award-winning wines.

Furthermore, San Michele is a sheltered village on the south side of the Alps, where the mild Mediterranean climate and the cooler continental climate meet. Thermal excursions and the regular breeze from Lake Garda foster healthy grapes and stimulate the development of those aromatic elements, which serve as a basis for the refinement and the pleasantness of the wines by Endrizzi, one of the oldest wineries of Trentino.
