Description

What kind of wine it is

The Champagne Rosé d’Assemblage Extra Brut by Emmanuel Brochet is an organic wine resulting from a carefully crafted blend of Pinot Meunier and Pinot Noir grapes. Produced according to the strict Traditional Method, it displays a cherry-pink colour and a fine, persistent perlage. The bouquet reveals clear aromas of red fruits enriched by elegant yeasty notes, while on the palate it is distinctly dry. Thanks to its savoury and elegant character, this rosé pairs harmoniously with starters, cheeses, grilled fish and white meats.

Where it comes from

The vineyards are rooted in Villers-aux-Noeuds, in the Petite Montagne de Reims area. The region is characterised by deep chalk-rich soils, a geological feature that imparts a clear savouriness and excellent structural definition to the wine. Vineyard management follows the principles of sustainability and utmost respect for the environment. The artisan production carefully overseen by the winemaker delivers an authentic territorial identity, reflecting the essence of the Champagne region in the glass.

How it is produced

Production follows the guidelines of the Traditional Method, favouring a minimal intervention approach in the cellar. The cuvée ferments spontaneously thanks to the use of indigenous yeasts, followed by an eleven-month vinification period in oak barrels which enhances the wine’s aromatic depth. The absence of filtration before bottling preserves its structural and flavour integrity, resulting in an Extra Brut with a bold character and long persistence.

History and Curiosities

Created by the artisan Emmanuel Brochet on chalky soils near Reims, this organic Champagne Rosé Extra Brut embodies true French excellence. Produced almost entirely from Pinot Meunier grapes, this exceptional cuvée is aged for eleven months in oak barrels, using only indigenous yeasts and without any filtration. Awarded 93 points by Robert Parker, the wine boasts a limited production of 3,133 bottles, establishing itself as an undisputed rarity for connoisseurs of the traditional method seeking pure and savoury elegance.
