Description
What kind of wine it is
Natura Carmenere by Emiliana is a Chilean organic red wine that expresses the authentic essence of the Carmenere grape variety. In the glass, it displays a deep purple-red colour, introducing an intensely fruity bouquet where aromas of plum and redcurrant intertwine with delicate notes of toast and blackcurrant. On the palate, it reveals a pleasant density, supported by soft, velvety tannins that lead to a persistent finish. Also suitable for those following a vegan diet, it is ideal paired with mature cheeses, robust first courses, stews, and grilled red meats.
Where it comes from
The grapes are grown in the Colchagua Valley in Chile, a wine region particularly well-suited to the cultivation of this grape variety. The local climate is characterised by limited rainfall and a marked diurnal temperature range in summer, with warm days and cool nights that promote optimal ripening and plant balance. The vineyards stretch across deep, silty alluvial soils, ensuring excellent drainage and high natural fertility. In this ecosystem, Emiliana winery applies the strict principles of biodynamic agriculture, tending the land with deep respect for the environment and biodiversity.
How it is produced
The entire production process follows sustainability parameters to enhance the original qualities of the fruit. The wine then undergoes eight months of ageing in stainless steel, an optimal choice to preserve a clear fruity profile and maintain the integrity of the Carmenere. To fully appreciate its complexity and smoothness, it is recommended to decant for one hour before tasting, serving at a temperature between 14 and 16°C.
