Description
What kind of wine it is
Domaine Zind-Humbrecht Riesling Turkheim is a biodynamic white wine that is semi-aromatic from Alsace. Pale straw yellow in colour, it reveals pleasant aromas of ripe fruit on the nose, notes of bergamot, citrus and peach. On the palate, it is enveloping and velvety, characterised by a caressing acidity and a discreet yet solid presence. The fine and elegant texture leads to a dry and balanced finish, supported by a light structure, with 1.2 g/L of residual sugar and 4.0 g/L of total acidity.
Where it comes from
The grapes are grown in Turckheim, in the Haut-Rhin department. Domaine Zind-Humbrecht was created from the union of the estates of Zénon Humbrecht and Émile Zind, members of a family of winegrowers active since the seventeenth century. The management of forty hectares spread over five villages allows the Alsace terroir to be fully showcased, linking the wine's identity to the specific characteristics of each plot. This careful agronomic management ensures a potential longevity of between five and ten years.
How it is produced
Production strictly follows the principles of biodynamic agriculture with ECOCERT certification. Yields in the vineyard are kept low to favour the qualitative expression of the Riesling grapes. The wine does not require decanting and is ideally enjoyed at a temperature of 10-12 °C. Its velvety texture and mature acidity make it suitable for accompanying delicate dishes based on white fish, poultry recipes and cheese selections, always blending harmoniously with the flavours.
History and Curiosities
Born from the union of the historic estates of Zénon Humbrecht and Émile Zind, winemakers since the 17th century, Domaine Zind-Humbrecht now covers 40 hectares in Alsace. From this prestigious heritage comes the Riesling Turckheim 2024, a still white wine that celebrates the terroir of the Haut-Rhin. The commitment to sustainable farming is certified by ECOCERT, an authentic expression of the Alsace AOC. This organic wine boasts an ageing potential of 5-10 years.

Winegrower from father to son since the Thirty Years war in Europe (1620) the Humbrecht family has long winemaking traditions. Today Léonard and Ginette, as well, as Olivier and Margaret Humbrecht are working together at the Domaine.
Chanoine Barth, historian of Alsace wines, recalls that the Humbrecht family was already renting vineyards from the Abbaye of Marbach, near Gueberschwihr, in the 18th century. However, we only started to bottle our wines in 1947. Since then, we have only produced grapes from our own vineyards, making the wine and selling it under our own label.
Today the Domaine Zind-Humbrecht has 40 hectares of vineyards located in five different villages in the Haut- Rhin. Read more
