Domaine Vincent Carême Vouvray Sec is an elegant organic still white that precisely expresses the character of its terroir. On the nose, it opens with an inviting bouquet, dominated by mineral and citrus aromas, interwoven with notes of pear, peach, apricot and subtle hints of white flowers. On the palate, it reveals a light and balanced body, flowing smoothly and offering crisp, generous fruit. The sip finishes with a fresh and savoury finish that enhances its gastronomic vocation.
Where it comes from
This wine is produced in France, in the Loire Valley, within the renowned Vouvray appellation. Here, Chenin Blanc finds the ideal conditions to develop a distinct identity, taking root in clay and flint soils that impart a pronounced mineral character to the wine. Domaine Carême, a small family-run winery, manages around fourteen hectares of vineyards following a strict organic farming approach, aimed at protecting the environment. Respect for the ecosystem translates into a straightforward and linear profile, authentically reflecting the landscape.
How it is produced
The winemaking process aims to preserve the aromatic integrity and natural freshness of the grapes, resulting in a slender and dynamic profile. This careful work allows the wine to be enjoyed for its lively immediacy, while also guaranteeing a remarkable ageing potential of between five and ten years. Its marked versatility at the table makes it an excellent aperitif and an ideal companion for a variety of dishes. It naturally enhances fish, shellfish and sushi dishes, and also pairs harmoniously with white meats, smoked salmon and mature cheeses.

In particular, in Vouvray, a prominent role is played by one vine above all, the chenin blanc. Among the different production realities of the area that delight in declining it, stands out the Domaine Carême, at the head of which we find Vincent, a young man who represents the face of the new style of wines created here, once identified as low-level products, to be poured at low cost especially in the export market.
Since the beginning of his wine-growing adventure, Vincent has in fact felt a strong bond with the rural world of wine, where a natural approach is essential to honour the terroir of origin. Precisely for this reason, the winery is certified as organic, to complete a path that aims to protect the environment and the nature surrounding the vineyards. Read more
