Description
What kind of wine is it
Jean-Michel Welty Crémant d’Alsace Rosé Brut is an organic Traditional Method sparkling wine with a taut and linear profile, ideal for expressing the character of Pinot Noir. On the nose, it opens with fresh aromas of red fruits, while on the palate it is straightforward, with a pleasant liveliness and excellent balance. The glass, with its pale pink colour, is crossed by refined bubbles that lead to a clean finish. It is suitable to accompany the entire meal, from aperitif to cheese, and even dessert.
Where does it come from
This sparkling wine is produced in Alsace, in north-eastern France, thanks to the work of independent winemaker Jean-Michel Welty. The estate is a historic family business rooted in viticulture since 1738. Under the careful guidance of Jérémy, the company has embraced organic farming since 2012, adopting an approach focused on environmental sustainability. This evolution in production allows the authentic identity of Crémant d’Alsace to be enhanced.
How is it produced
The process begins with careful vinification of Pinot Noir grapes. The method faithfully follows the Traditional Method, with a second fermentation in the bottle that encourages the development of a fine and consistent mousse. The Brut dosage maintains a direct style, enhancing the natural freshness of the fruit. Designed to evolve over time, this sparkling wine boasts an ageing potential of between five and ten years. To fully appreciate its qualities, it is recommended to serve it at a temperature of 6-8 °C.

Eight generations later, we are continuing this wonderful family story, which links us so closely to the land, the vines and the wine, with the same faith and the same enthusiasm.
Every day, our work is guided by the conviction that nature will give us back what we have given her.
It's been over thirty-five years since Jean-Michel took up the torch left by his father Fernand, gradually doubling the surface area of the vineyard.
In September 2012, he was joined by his son Jérémy, who brought a breath of fresh air to the estate with new creations and a new method of cultivation: Organic Farming. Read more
