Description
What kind of wine it is
Domaine Fourrey Petit Chablis is a still white wine that embodies the crisp elegance of Burgundy. Made from Chardonnay, it displays a bright straw yellow colour enlivened by subtle greenish highlights. The bouquet opens with fresh notes of citrus, green apple and delicate white flowers. On the palate, it reveals a light structure and a dry, crisp flavour, supported by a vibrant acidity that brings energy to each sip. The pronounced minerality leads the tasting towards a long, savoury finish, making this white wine perfect for pairing with oysters, sushi and goat's cheese.
Where it comes from
This wine originates from the renowned Petit Chablis area, located in the northern part of Burgundy. The vines thrive in the vineyards of the communes of Milly and Fleys, stretching along the banks of the Serein river. This precise geographical location ensures an ideal microclimate for balanced ripening of the grapes, imparting a clear sense of place to the glass. The soils of the area, tended using sustainable and organic farming practices, give the wine great tension and vibrancy. This connection with the environment lends the wine a linear structure and that distinct saline sensation typical of the region.
History and Curiosities
Originating from the heart of Northern Burgundy, this elegant white wine embodies the true winemaking identity of the region. Domaine Fourrey cultivates its own pure Chardonnay in the vineyards of Milly and Fleys, located along the banks of the River Serein, following strict sustainable viticulture practices. This dedication to the environment and microclimate is reflected in an authentic sip, characterised by a pronounced minerality and a fresh, balanced profile. It can be aged in the cellar for 3-5 years.

Since 1992, I, Jean‑Luc Fourrey, have been managing the Domaine. I studied at the Lycée Viticole in Beaune and hold a Higher Technician Diploma in Viticulture and Oenology. Today, I share this journey with my family — I am married and the father of Emile, born in 2012.
The daily work at the estate is carried out with the support of a team of seven collaborators: a sales assistant, two tractor drivers, one cellar‑and‑vineyard worker, and three vineyard workers. A group made up of three women and four men, where I encourage versatility and the continuous development of individual skills.
Our vineyards are mainly located in Milly — on my father’s side — and in Fleys — on my mother’s side — spread across both banks of the Serein River, at the very heart of the Chablis region. Read more
