Description
What kind of wine is it
Domaine du Moulin de Dusenbach Pinot Gris is a still white wine from Alsace, a true expression of Pinot Gris. It appears a golden yellow in the glass, a prelude to a soft sip with a very fine structure. The bouquet reveals notes of dried fruit, honey, quince and delicate hints of truffle. Its elegant balance ensures good persistence on the palate, making it ideal to pair with shellfish and smoked fish.
Where does it come from
It originates in Alsace, in north-eastern France, from vineyards located near Colmar, in the Haut-Rhin area. The alluvial composition of the soil, with its silty and stony nature, gives the Pinot Gris a clear and profound expression. The careful work of an independent winemaker, heir to a long family tradition, results in an authentic product. This close connection to the land guarantees the wine remarkable longevity, allowing it to evolve elegantly in the cellar.
How is it produced
The Pinot Gris grapes are harvested exclusively at perfect ripeness. Vinification involves a strict temperature-controlled fermentation, an essential step to preserve the aromas of ripe fruit and the purity on the palate. This meticulous process enhances the varietal nuances, offering a harmonious and elegant sip. The result is an extremely versatile wine, perfect for accompanying white meats, fish and selected cheeses.

In 2008, the estate became the property of the Jean and Monique Schwebel family, who favour a qualitative approach to wine that respects people and the environment.
In early 2018, the Domaine decided to join forces with a neighbouring wine estate: Domaine Viticole de la Ville de Colmar.
From now on, this new project will bring together a single estate covering 40 hectares of vineyards offering a diversity of terroirs, geological riches and exceptional exposure. Read more
