Where it comes from
This wine originates in the Jura, France, specifically in the Les Corvées terroir, an area that gives Arbois a well-defined identity. Domaine de la Tournelle operates under strict organic management, working the vineyards by hand without the use of synthetic chemicals. Soil health is preserved through alternating grass cover and manual weed control, practices aimed at ensuring total environmental respect and the integrity of the fruit.
How it is produced
The process begins with manual harvesting in crates, followed by destemming carried out entirely by hand among the rows. After a very gentle pressing, the must undergoes skin maceration lasting ten to thirty days. Bottling is done in an artisanal manner, keeping the liquid unfiltered. This essential method preserves the natural carbonic component and ensures a lively and energetic tasting experience.

Our philosophy is to produce grapes with our own hands, and without the use of chemicals. We are far from the common misconception that producing organic wine is letting nature do our job.
We let grass grow on every second row of our vines, to facilitate the passage of a tractor. Grass, however, is the No. 1 enemy of organic wine! On those rows where grass grows, the bases of the plants are kept grass free manually. The rest of the vines are tilled with an interceps machine so no herbicides are used. Read more
