Description

What kind of wine it is

The Domaine Confuron-Cotetidot Pommard 1er Cru Les Arvelets is a still red wine that elegantly interprets the Burgundy region, made from Pinot Noir grapes. On the nose, it reveals intense aromas of red fruits, enriched by spicy notes that anticipate a deep sensory profile. On the palate, it is rich and structured, characterised by excellent continuity and a long finish. This wine offers a tasting experience that is consistent and true to its grape variety.

Where it comes from

This wine originates from the Les Arvelets cru, in the heart of Pommard Premier Cru. Domaine Confuron-Cotetidot, a winery based in Vosne-Romanée, cultivates its vines using environmentally friendly methods, aiming for low yields to enhance aromatic concentration. The harvest takes place when the grapes reach full ripeness. Such agronomic care allows the Pinot Noir to express itself intensely and faithfully to its terroir.

How it is produced

Vinification is carried out with whole bunches, avoiding destemming to preserve the fruit's structure. This is followed by a long maceration combined with gentle pressing, essential for precisely extracting aromatic compounds. Ageing lasts between 18 and 24 months in oak barrels, mainly second and third fill, and is completed with a further period of rest. The process concludes without filtration, thus preserving the wine's natural complexity and integrity.
