Description
What type of wine it is
The Bourgogne Hautes Côtes de Nuits Domaine A.F. Gros is a red wine that represents an authentic expression of Pinot Noir grown in the soils of Burgundy. To the eye, it presents a ruby appearance and a bouquet dominated by intense red fruit aromas. On the palate, it is fresh and soft, characterised by a pleasantly smooth drinkability. The natural consistency of the sip is enhanced by the choice not to systematically filter the liquid, ensuring a pure and faithful interpretation of the varietal characteristics.
Where it comes from
The wine originates from the Hautes-Côtes de Nuits, an area of absolute importance in the Burgundian winemaking landscape. Since 1988, the Domaine A.F. Gros estate has been led by Anne Gros, backed by solid oenological training gained between Beaune and Dijon. Under her guidance, the company has expanded its vineyards and renovated the cellar, equipping itself with ideal tools to enhance the identity of French soils. This careful management translates into a wine that fully expresses the region's vocation, ensuring constant qualitative and stylistic continuity.
How it is produced
Vinification is oriented towards preserving the integrity and original fragrance of the fruit. The absence of invasive filtration protects the aromatic complexity, allowing room for slight natural sediments that testify to an artisanal and respectful process. To appreciate every nuance, decanting for one hour and serving between 14 and 16 °C is recommended. At the table, it pairs excellently with red meats, pork, game, and cheeses, offering an excellent ageing potential capable of evolving in the cellar for over ten years.

At 25 years old, Anne saw the family domaine grow from 3 to 6.5 ha. Recently, she invested in a new cellar. She is a winegrower suspicious of certitude and fastidious about maintaining her freedom.
As a female winegrower, Anne knew how to prove herself and convince all who doubted her ability to manage a domaine. She showed that she had not only the shoulders but the head to make her family heritage one of the greatest domaines of Burgundy.
In 1984 she had to stop studying Arts to study vines’culture and oenology in Beaune and Dijon. Now her passion for vine and wine as well as her talent, sensitivity and professionalism position her as a winemaker amateurs can rely on.
A mother of 3 children, Anne spends all her time working at the Domaine and taking care of her family. Read more
