Description
What kind of wine it is
Champagne Collet Blanc de Blancs Brut is a wine of great precision made exclusively from Chardonnay. Produced according to the principles of the Traditional Method, it appears in the glass with a bright white gold colour and a delicate perlage. On the palate, it is lively with a silky texture, revealing citrus notes of lemon, hints of pastry, white pepper and smoky nuances. Its persistent finish makes it perfect as a refined aperitif, or paired with cheese and fish tartare.
Where it comes from
This wine is produced in France, within the renowned Champagne region, showcasing the best plots suited to Chardonnay. The grapes are selected from outstanding Premier Cru and Grand Cru villages, such as Villers-Marmery, Chouilly, Cramant, Avize and Oger. The Collet winery, located in Aÿ, imparts a well-defined territorial character to the wine. The result is an authentic wine, with floral aromas of verbena and a balanced flavour progression.
How it is produced
Production strictly follows the Traditional Method, incorporating a blend of reserve wines. Before blending, part of the wine is aged in oak barrels to acquire structure and complexity. The cuvée then rests for at least five years in cellars carved into limestone, developing great longevity. The Brut dosage defines its flavour balance, ensuring finesse and excellent ageing potential.
