Description

What kind of wine is it

Champagne Coessens Blanc de Noirs Pinotmaniac Les Riceys is a profound Extra Brut made from Pinot Noir grapes. In the glass, it displays a golden yellow colour with greenish highlights, enhanced by a fine and persistent perlage. On the nose, it offers aromas of red fruits combined with fragrant notes of yeast. On the palate, it is taut and dry, defined by a vibrant freshness typical of the Traditional Method.

Where does it come from

This Champagne originates from Ville-sur-Arce, France, with a strong connection to the soils of Les Riceys. Coessens has cultivated its family vineyards for five generations, although the official founding of the maison dates back to 2006. The agricultural management adopts strict organic and sustainable viticulture to respect the environment. Such care in the vineyard ensures a distinct territorial identity, delivering a pure and defined expression of its place of origin.

How is it produced

The production of this Blanc de Noirs faithfully follows the Traditional Method, enhancing the dry and incisive character of the fruit. The low dosage highlights the pronounced freshness on the palate and the complex aromatic structure. At the table, this wine elegantly accompanies starters and lean fish dishes. Its persistence also makes it an ideal partner to enhance the finest cheese selections, creating perfect sensory balance.

From this winery
My family has owned vineyards in Ville-sur-Arce for 5 generations so it was quite natural that I should take over the family business. In 2006 I decided to start my own champagne house : Champagne Coessens.

After 7 years working as vineyard manager for a large champagne house, creating my own range of champagnes was the realisation and embodiment of one of my profound aspirations.
