Description

What kind of wine it is

Chateau Pape Clement Pessac Leognan Rouge Grand Cru Classe de Graves is a still wine from Château Pape Clément. Recognised as a Grand Cru Classé de Graves, it is created from a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Cabernet Franc. Its aromatic profile combines cherries, blackcurrants and ripe blackberries with notes of liquorice and cocoa. On the palate, it displays a full and balanced body and excellent persistence that defines its elegance.

Where it comes from

This red wine originates in France, in Pessac-Léognan. The estate boasts one of the oldest histories in Bordeaux, having been founded in 1252. Linked to Pope Clement V, born Bertrand de Goth, the winery cultivates vineyards that reflect the vocation of the region. Château Pape Clément today represents a historic symbol of inestimable oenological value.

How it is produced

The vinification enhances the structure and character of this Bordeaux red. Its texture favours a long evolution, with an estimated ageing potential of between ten and fifteen years. To best appreciate its breadth, it is recommended to decant the wine an hour before serving at 16-18 °C. It pairs beautifully with game dishes, pork and cheeses.
