Description
What kind of wine it is
Château Labegorce Margaux is a still red wine that embodies the elegance of the Margaux area. This blend harmonises the varieties Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot, offering a profile with a ruby red colour. On the nose, it reveals a bouquet of blackcurrant and blueberry, enriched by delicate herbal nuances. On the palate, it stands out for its silky and rounded sip, characterised by remarkable persistence and a natural propensity for ageing of 10-15 years.
Where it comes from
This wine is produced in France, in the heart of Margaux, within the renowned Bordeaux region. The vineyards grow on sandy and silty soils, which favour a clear expression of the fruit and a balanced flavour profile. With a history dating back to 1332, the estate is now managed by the Perrodo family, who preserve its historical identity in full accordance with the refined style of the appellation.
How it is produced
Maturation lasts for 12-14 months in barrels, a practice that strengthens the structure of the wine while maintaining its fresh fruity notes. To enhance its organoleptic characteristics, it is recommended to decant for one hour before serving at a temperature of 16-18 °C. Its refined tannic texture pairs ideally with red meat dishes such as beef, veal and lamb, as well as game, cured meats and mature cheeses.
