Description
What kind of wine it is
Campo alle Comete Mareviglia Rosato is a still rosé wine that elegantly embodies the character of Tuscany. Produced from a refined blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Syrah, it stands out for its bright antique pink colour. On the nose, it is intense and fragrant, with notes of aromatic herbs blending with sweet hints of raspberry and cherry. On the palate, it reveals a medium body, offering a fresh and balanced sip that fades into a long and pleasantly fruity finish.
Where it comes from
This wine is born in the heart of the renowned Bolgheri region, specifically in Sughericcio, in the municipality of Castagneto Carducci. This coastal area boasts a historic winemaking tradition, favoured by an exceptional natural ecosystem. The Campo alle Comete winery enhances the identity of Tuscany by focusing on aromatic clarity and great drinking pleasure. The local microclimate ensures the grapes reach ideal ripeness, resulting in a clean and harmonious flavour profile.
How it is produced
The harvest is carried out slightly early to preserve the freshness of the fruit. A direct pressing is used to extract delicate colour tones and maintain the integrity of the aromas. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature, a fundamental process to keep the aromatic precision intact. This is followed by maturation in steel, which defines its final structure. Ideal paired with white meats, vegetable-based dishes and raw seafood, it also pairs beautifully with Japanese cuisine specialities.

The name Campo to Comets comes from a historical name of the area where the company is based, that "disappeared" over time.
The first signtature wine from Campo alle Comete is 'Stupore', a Bolgheri DOC, from 2015's harvest. The name was chosen to reflect tradition and experience but also poetry and imagination and to amaze, with memorable flavours and tastes.
Campo alle Comete Rosastella 2021 was awarded 92 points by Wine Enthusiast, and is also among the six rosés of the year. Read more
