Description
What kind of wine it is
Ammonites Satèn is an elegant Franciacorta by Camilucci, an authentic expression of the Traditional Method. This Brut sparkling wine is created from a meticulous blend of Chardonnay and Pinot Blanc, offering a sensory profile characterised by a velvety smoothness. On the palate, it is fresh and delicate, accompanied by a fine and harmonious perlage that enhances the pleasant fruity and floral notes. Its smooth texture and clean finish make it ideal for accompanying refined aperitifs and light dishes.
Where it comes from
This sparkling wine is born in the vibrant heart of Franciacorta, in an area encompassing the towns of Rodengo Saiano, Gussago, and Paderno Franciacorta. The vineyards, cultivated using the Guyot training system and with an average age of twenty years, are set on morainic soils at around two hundred metres above sea level. This specific soil composition imparts a distinct flavour profile to the wine, supporting the freshness and structural finesse typical of the Lombardy hills.
How it is produced
Production begins with a manual harvest, during which the grapes are picked in small crates to preserve their perfect integrity. Just a few hours after harvesting, the whole bunches are gently pressed. The initial maturation takes place in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature for a period ranging from six to eight months. Subsequently, the secondary fermentation develops through a lengthy ageing on the lees lasting at least twenty-four months. A further six months of rest after disgorgement completes the process, defining the elegance of the sip and ensuring a perfect integration of the Brut dosage.
