Description
What kind of wine it is
Langhe Nebbiolo Fralù Denomination of Controlled Origin by Bruno Rocca is a still red wine from Piedmont that finely interprets the characteristics of the Nebbiolo grape, thanks to vinification in steel and ageing in French oak barrels. It stands out for its brilliant ruby red colour, enhanced by elegant garnet highlights. On the nose, it offers a broad and intense bouquet, dominated by clear notes of raspberry and black cherry. On the palate, it is harmonious, with a solid structure balanced by the typical tannic texture of the variety, finishing with a long and pleasantly persistent aftertaste.
Where it comes from
This wine originates in Piedmont, in the renowned setting of the Langhe, on the hills surrounding Barbaresco. It is produced by Bruno Rocca, a historic name in the area since the 1950s. Careful vineyard management aims to enhance the territorial identity through a production philosophy that focuses on respect for the vine. This rigorous agronomy allows for an authentic expression of the grape variety, capable of conveying the deep winegrowing vocation of its native landscape.
How it is produced
Production begins with fermentation in steel lasting about twelve to fifteen days. The wine then matures for a period of eight to twelve months in French oak barrels, a crucial stage for the development of its structural profile. To enjoy it at its best, it is advisable to let it breathe for about an hour and serve at a temperature between 14 and 16°C. It is perfect for gastronomic pairings with dishes based on beef, pork, game and cheese.

This spelled the beginning of the company’s growth and the end of sharecropping. Still a minor, Bruno learned to see grapes as the true expression of the land. After the first decades, when the vineyard’s products were sold almost exclusively to Barbaresco Producers, and used only minimally for wine production, in 1978 he decided to take the company in a new direction. With enthusiasm growing for the burgeoning wine market, Rabajà di Bruno Rocca managed to carve out a name and image for itself on the Italian and world stage by selling bottled wine, thereby becoming a veritable leader in the field.
The philosophy of wine as the natural expression of the Barbaresco territory was widely appreciated, and with the company’s gradual growth came the purchase of new plots of land and the expansion of the cellar, all the way up to the current day. Read more
