Description
What kind of wine is it
The Champagne Brigandat Pinot Noir Brut Nature Zero Dosage Vignobles des Channes is a Blanc de Noirs with an essential and profound profile. Made from Pinot Noir grapes, it displays a golden yellow hue enhanced by a fine and persistent perlage. On the nose, it reveals an intense bouquet, where hints of white flowers, such as acacia, intertwine with notes of apple, pear, and aromas of small red fruits. On the palate, the complete absence of dosage enhances a fresh and elegant drink, characterised by a pleasant softness and a long and refreshing finish, making the tasting precise and satisfying.
Where does it come from
This wine from the Brigandat winery originates in the French region of Channes, from plots cultivated according to a strict organic and sustainable philosophy. In these vineyards, where Pinot Noir and Chardonnay thrive, the soils have been worked exclusively with a plough since 2002 to encourage the natural balance of the ecosystem. This careful agricultural management allows for grapes capable of conveying the pure identity of the terroir of origin in a defined aromatic profile, delivering the authentic expression of the landscape in the glass.
How is it produced
The production process follows the principles of the Traditional Method, which involves secondary fermentation in the bottle. The base wines are aged in tanks and oak barrels, a choice that enriches the flavour texture and complexity of the Champagne. The decision to offer a Brut Nature style with zero dosage enhances the vital essence of Pinot Noir, providing a clear and expressive sip. It is ideal paired with shellfish, lean fish, starters, and cheeses, to be served at a temperature of 6-8 °C.
History and Curiosities
In the heart of the Channes vineyards, the artisanal winery Pierre Brigandat brings to life a captivating Blanc de Noirs Brut Nature, an authentic expression of Pinot Noir grapes. Thanks to organic and sustainable viticulture, with the land being worked with a plough since 2002, this estate demonstrates a profound respect for the environment. Ageing in oak barrels is combined with the elegance of the Traditional Method without dosage, offering a pure sip free from added sugars that magnificently enhances the territorial identity of Champagne.

Like my father before me, the passion for champagne has become a real vocation. Since 2002, I have taken over the reins of the estate and since 2013 I have been working with Cendrine, my wife, to develop the production and marketing of Pierre Brigandat champagnes.
With rigour and passion, we cultivate two noble grape varieties: pinot noir and chardonnay, on an 8-hectare vineyard. We respect the environment (the soil has been worked with a plough since 2002) and the people. We constantly seek to honour our values through the conception of exceptional products, conceived in a rich and generous territory.
Today, no less than 7 champagnes and a Coteaux Champenois can be found in our online shop or directly in the cellar, during a tasting. (Bertrand Brigandat) Read more
