Description

What kind of wine it is

Bpuntoio Puglia Primitivo is an organic and vegan red wine that faithfully reflects the character of the Primitivo grape variety. This label by Bpuntoio presents itself in the glass with an intense ruby red colour, a prelude to a clear olfactory profile. On the nose, it expresses a complex bouquet characterised by notes of cherries, small dried red fruits and subtle hints of toasted almonds. On the palate, it reveals an elegant structure, supported by present yet well-integrated tannins, which lead the tasting towards a long and pleasant finish.

Where it comes from

The grapes are grown along the Ionian coastal strip of Apulia, a region where the particular soil and climate conditions favour the ideal ripening of Primitivo. The vines are cultivated using the traditional Apulian bush vine system, a technique that preserves the rural landscape and ensures fruit of extraordinary concentration. Bpuntoio's agricultural project actively promotes biodiversity, adopting certified organic farming practices that give the wine a deep and structured territorial identity.

How it is produced

After destemming, the process keeps the berries intact, avoiding crushing, in order to preserve the integrity of the skins and optimise colour extraction. Fermentation takes place at a controlled temperature for about eight to ten days, with frequent pumping over and délestage in the initial stages to encourage the extraction of noble tannins. The result is a red wine with a silky texture and lively acidity, ideal for enhancing dishes based on red meats, game and mature cheeses.

History and Curiosities

A product of Terre Cevico's b.io project, this organic Primitivo celebrates authentic Apulian tradition while fully respecting nature. The grapes ripen along the Ionian coast, cultivated using the traditional alberello method to actively protect vineyard landscapes and biodiversity. In addition to its ethical and vegan character, this wine stands out for its absolute excellence, awarded 96 points by Luca Maroni: a distinctive glass capable of combining sustainability and prestige.

From this winery
The b.io project draws its "sap" from the historic roots of Terre Cevico. Not only in Emilia-Romagna: the b.io wines also come from other areas that are ideal for the cultivation of organic grapes, such as Sicily and Puglia.

Our objective? To extend this virtuous project to other Regions of Italy, creating a sustainable fabric of winemakers that celebrates the best that our land can produce thanks to respect and attention towards the future.

b.io highlights the quality of the most traditional grape varieties, contributing to maintaining biodiversity and the viticultural landscapes, with small plots of vines interspersed among orchards, olive groves, meadows and arable land: from the vine-growers directly to consumers, so that they can have good, high-quality wines on their tables.
