Description
What kind of wine it is
Bellavista Franciacorta Satèn is a bright and enveloping sparkling wine, a pure expression of Chardonnay. In the glass, it displays a straw yellow hue with golden highlights, animated by abundant foam and a very fine and persistent perlage. On the nose, it offers an elegant bouquet, featuring aromas of pink flowers, ripe citrus fruits and notes of toasted hazelnut. The palate is characterised by a soft and creamy texture, perfectly balanced between the fruit pulp and a pleasant underlying freshness, finishing with a long and harmonious aftertaste.
Where it comes from
This refined Franciacorta originates from the hills of Erbusco, the historic cradle of the Bellavista winery. The grapes come from high-altitude vineyards where vines over thirty years old sink their roots into ideal soils. The Guyot training system and controlled yields ensure healthy, concentrated fruit. The meticulous selection of the bunches, carried out between August and September, captures the perfect moment of ripeness, guaranteeing a must capable of developing into complex and defined aromas.
How it is produced
The production of this wine strictly follows the Traditional Method, enhancing the delicacy and ageing potential of the grapes. During the initial vinification phase, part of the must ferments in small white oak barrels, while the remainder matures in stainless steel to preserve fresh and fragrant notes. Once the base wines are blended into a harmonious cuvée, ageing begins. The wine rests in the cellar for a minimum of four years, an essential period to refine the mousse and give the sparkling wine its unmistakable silky texture.
History and Curiosities
Founded in Erbusco in 1977, Bellavista has transformed this wine into a true icon of elegance. The Franciacorta Satèn DOCG 2020 is born from a meticulous selection of Chardonnay grapes, sourced from high hillside vineyards over thirty years old. The excellence of the cuvée takes shape through partial fermentation in white oak pièces and a patient ageing in the cellar for at least four years. A masterpiece with a creamy and enveloping sip, praised by prestigious guides such as Bibenda, Gambero Rosso and Veronelli, perfect for a refined aperitif.
