Description
What kind of wine it is
Bellavista Franciacorta Extra Brut Rosé is a Lombard Traditional Method wine created from a blend where Chardonnay meets Pinot Noir. This rosé reveals a dry and fresh character, enhanced by a fine and persistent perlage. The aromatic profile is clear, with scents of cherry blossom, hibiscus, pomegranate and wild strawberries. Partial maturation in small white oak barrels and resting on the lees give the palate an elegant balance, culminating in a satisfying finish marked by notes of sweet almond, blackcurrant and forest fruits.
Where it comes from
This sparkling wine originates in Lombardy, among the hills of Franciacorta, in the heart of the municipality of Erbusco. In this chosen land, ideal for cultivating Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, the vineyards are trained using the Guyot system. Strict yield control ensures grapes of the highest quality, rich in primary aromas. Such care in the vineyard translates into the glass as an enchanting pale pink colour and a white froth, guaranteeing a drink with great gustatory precision and impeccable visual texture.
How it is produced
Production strictly follows the techniques of the Traditional Method, starting with a carefully selected harvest. The cuvée is created from a skilful blend composed of numerous sparkling wine bases. A portion of these wines ferments and matures in small white oak barrels, while the remainder is refined in stainless steel. After blending, the wine undergoes a slow ageing on the lees in the bottle for an extended period. The result is a harmonious Extra Brut, with a dry palate enlivened by hints of toasted bread, citrus and yellow apple.
History and Curiosities
In the heart of Franciacorta DOCG, Bellavista creates a Metodo Classico that is a symbol of absolute excellence. This captivating vintage is born from the union of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, carefully selected from thirty fine sparkling wine bases. The character of the cuvée is defined by maturing in small oak barrels and steel, then further enriched during the long ageing on the lees. The glass releases delicate scents of cherry blossom and small red fruits, offering a harmonious complexity and a seductive, fleshy and dry sip.
