Description
What kind of wine it is
Mazzei Belguardo Vermentino Maremma Toscana is a still white wine that reflects the identity of its territory. Produced by Mazzei, it is made from Vermentino grapes cultivated to enhance the natural qualities of the variety. An expression of the Maremma Toscana, it stands out for its fermentation in stainless steel aimed at preserving an intense aromatic freshness. On the palate, it offers a medium-bodied sip with lively acidity and a mineral and juicy profile, evolving into a persistent finish characterised by elegant herbal and minty nuances.
Where it comes from
This wine originates in Maremma, in the Grosseto area, along the coast of the Tyrrhenian Sea. The vineyards are situated at an altitude between 20 and 50 metres, enjoying optimal exposure to the south and south-west. The influence of the sea breezes is essential for enhancing the aromatic development of the grape and maintaining its vibrant acidity. The vines grow on sandy soils, dominated by sandstone, a fundamental geological element that gives the wine a dynamic drinkability and a profound savouriness.
How it is produced
Vinification begins with a rigorous manual harvest, followed by the swift transfer of the bunches to the winery. The process continues at a controlled temperature to preserve clear and precise aromas. In the glass, it displays a straw yellow colour with greenish highlights, releasing notes of peach, citrus, honey and apricot jam. The careful processing gives a slightly oily sip and a refreshing finish, ideal for accompanying Mediterranean cuisine recipes based on fish and vegetables.
