Description

What kind of wine is it

Cuvee Valentina Alta Langa Brut is a Traditional Method sparkling wine produced by Bel Colle. The result of a harmonious blend of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, it appears in the glass with a straw yellow hue enhanced by golden reflections. The aromatic profile is intense and fragrant, characterised by citrus notes and hints of fresh grapes. On the palate, it expresses a dry and full style, revealing an excellent balance between fruity nuances and a pleasant acidity.

Where does it come from

This sparkling wine originates in Piedmont, among the picturesque hills of Alta Langa. The vineyards are situated at around 380 metres above sea level, on calcareous-clay soils that give the wine its typical savoury and dry character. The hillside microclimate ensures a regular ripening of the grapes, favouring the ideal balance between structure and freshness. Every glass tells the authentic territorial identity of this prestigious wine region.

How is it produced

Production follows the strict steps of the Traditional Method. After the grapes are hand-picked, vinification begins with fermentation in stainless steel, complemented by partial ageing in French oak barrels. This is followed by secondary fermentation in the bottle and maturation on the lees for a period of 36 months, which is essential for enhancing its complexity and fullness of flavour. It pairs beautifully with seafood starters, shellfish, grilled fish and soft cheeses.

History and Curiosities

The Cuvée Valentina Alta Langa Brut by Bel Colle embodies the authentic tradition of the Piedmont hills, where the Bosio family meticulously tends their vineyards at an altitude of 380 metres. This refined expression of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, born from calcareous-clay soils and harvested by hand, comes to life through the rigorous Traditional Method. After partial fermentation in oak, the wine undergoes 36 months of ageing on the lees, developing a complex elegance and a dry palate that celebrates Italian winemaking excellence.

We are in Verduno, on the hills of Barolo, a natural treasure nested between Alba and La Morra, a luminous amphitheatre where the King of wines "Barolo" finds some of its finest and most delicate expressions. In our vineyards we grow the great traditional grape varieties: Nebbiolo, Barbera, Dolcetto and Moscato. But we also give voice to rare and precious varieties, our pearls of Langa: Nascetta, Favorita and especially Pelaverga, of which we are the largest producers in Piedmont. In the winery we use passion and experience: our philosophy of winemaking is according to artisan tradition, without forcing.
