Description

What kind of wine it is

Aubry's Champagne 1er Cru Brut is an elegant Traditional Method sparkling wine with a golden hue. The bouquet offers clear notes of white peach and raspberry. On the palate, the softness of the Pinot Meunier blends with the elegance of Chardonnay and the structure of Pinot Noir. This low-dosage blend delivers a lively sip, supported by a solid texture and pronounced persistence. Its vibrant acidity makes it ideal with cheese, seafood, and main courses of white fish.

Where it comes from

This wine is produced in France, in the Champagne region. The grapes are sourced from the villages of Pargny, Jouy-lès-Reims, Villedommage, and Coulommes-La-Montagne, ensuring the Premier Cru classification. The Aubry family, winegrowers since 1790, manage the vineyards with rigour and a biological and sustainable approach. Respect for the environment results in excellent grapes, expressing the terroir. Careful vineyard management ensures the wine has significant ageing potential over time.

How it is produced

Production follows the strict stages of the Traditional Method, in line with historic sparkling wine techniques. Aubry creates a well-balanced blend of Pinot Meunier, Chardonnay, and Pinot Noir, combining aromatic roundness with structural solidity. The slow secondary fermentation enriches the flavour profile, while the low dosage preserves the fruit's natural fragrance. The result is a sparkling wine with a strong personality, persistent and ideal for refined tastings.

History and Curiosities

This Premier Cru Champagne by Aubry encapsulates over two centuries of winemaking history, the legacy of a family active since 1790. Produced sustainably through a rigorous organic traditional method, this wine combines tradition and creativity, enhancing grapes grown in the renowned communes of Jouy-lès-Reims, Pargny, Villedommage, and Coulommes-La-Montagne. Highly acclaimed by international critics and experts such as James Suckling and Robert Parker, this elegant Champagne boasts an extraordinary ageing potential estimated between ten and fifteen years.

From this winery
This is the village Jouy-les-Reims, in the heart of the Mountain "Petite" of Reims where Pierre and Philippe Aubry, descendants of a long line of vineyard owners since 1790, have decided to revive some grape varieties that once grew in the region of Champagne.

Through the knowledge of Pierre - winemaker, graduated at the National School of Agronomy of Montpellier and Philippe studied biology - and the experience gained from their father, the two adventurers have won their bet: to combine the classic and the modern. In addition to producing a wide range of wines for champagne's lovers also take a selection of rare vintages. This collection reflects a true philosophy that can be summarized in a few principles: rigor, respect for tradition, originality and creativity.
