Description
What kind of wine it is
Velere Prosecco Rosé is a sparkling rosé wine with Denomination of Controlled Origin, produced in Veneto by Astoria from Glera and Pinot Noir grapes. It combines the typical freshness of the region with a solid structure. In the glass, it displays a lovely salmon pink hue enlivened by a fine and persistent perlage. The bouquet is elegant, rich in clear fruity notes of apricot, peach, currant and strawberry, blended with subtle floral nuances. On the palate, it is soft and harmonious, well balanced between lively acidity and the slight sweetness characteristic of the Extra Dry style, finishing with a clean and enveloping aftertaste.
Where it comes from
This Prosecco originates in Veneto, from vineyards in the province of Treviso managed according to the principles of sustainable viticulture. The vines, about fifteen years old and with an east-west orientation, benefit from ideal exposure for the perfect ripening of the grapes. The name Velere pays tribute to the history of the Serenissima Republic, dedicated to the ancient craftsmen who made the sails for Venetian galleys, firmly linking the wine to the historical and cultural roots of its homeland.
How it is produced
After a careful manual harvest, the grapes destined for the Glera and Pinot Noir blend undergo a gentle crushing and pressing to preserve the purity of the aromas. The subsequent sparkling process takes place using the Charmat Method, the preferred technique to enhance the fragrance of the fruit and ensure lively, long-lasting effervescence. This sparkling rosé demonstrates remarkable versatility at the table: it is excellent as an aperitif and pairs effortlessly with light dishes, fish, shellfish and delicate meats.
