Description
What kind of wine it is
Astoria's Prosecco Butterfly Rosé Extra Dry is created from a harmonious blend of Glera and Pinot Noir grapes. In the glass, it displays a pale pink colour, enhanced by a fine and persistent perlage. On the nose, fragrant red fruit aromas emerge, combined with delicate floral notes. On the palate, it is fresh and fruity, with excellent balance and a clean finish. It is the ideal sparkling wine to accompany aperitifs and light dishes, such as delicate fish, white meats, pizza, and fresh cheeses.
Where it comes from
This sparkling wine is produced in Veneto, at the heart of the Prosecco region. The vineyards cultivated by Astoria are located in Susegana, in the Conegliano-Valdobbiadene area. Viticulture extends along the renowned Prosecco Hills, where the steep pre-Alpine slopes create an ideal microclimate. This particular landscape gives the grapes a distinct aromatic profile and ensures an easy-drinking character, transforming the identity of the region into an experience of pure freshness and balance.
How it is produced
The production process involves rosé vinification of Glera and Pinot Noir grapes, in order to preserve their varietal vibrancy. The secondary fermentation follows the Charmat Method in a pressurised tank, a key technical choice to maintain the fruity aromas and enhance the finesse of the bubbles. The Extra Dry dosage gives the structure a pleasant softness, making each sip balanced and inviting. Served at a temperature between 6 and 8 degrees, this wine offers a harmonious tasting experience.
History and Curiosities
Founded in 1987 in the heart of Veneto by the Polegato brothers, Astoria expresses its winemaking vocation at the Val De Brun estate, nestled among the steep pre-Alpine slopes. It is here that the Butterfly Rosé Millesimato DOC 2025 is born, an extremely refined sparkling wine that pays tribute to the Prosecco Hills, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This wine combines exceptional quality with a contemporary design, distinguished by the iconic butterfly-patterned label, and represents the prestige of a winery already awarded the Gran Medaglia d’Oro at Vinitaly.
