Description
What kind of wine is it
Astoria Fashion Victim Moscato is a sweet sparkling wine from Veneto, made from a blend of Moscato Bianco, Moscato Reale and other aromatic grape varieties. Visually, it displays a bright straw yellow colour with greenish highlights, enhanced by a fine and persistent perlage. The bouquet releases the typical aromas of the grape, enriched with notes of peach, sage and thyme. On the palate, it is intensely aromatic, with a balanced sweetness and a pleasant freshness, making it ideal for pairing with desserts and starters.
Where does it come from
Astoria Fashion Victim Moscato originates in Veneto, among the hills of the Val de Brun Estate. This area in the north of the province of Treviso enjoys great international viticultural prestige. The grapes come from hillside vineyards aged between fifteen and eighteen years, maintaining a yield of eighty to ninety quintals per hectare. The particular local microclimate favours the optimal ripening of the bunches, consolidating the deep connection with the land and its winemaking vocation.
How is it produced
The production process begins with white vinification. The must is kept in temperature-controlled tanks at low temperatures, a crucial choice to preserve the intense aroma of the Moscato. The sparkling process, overseen by oenologist Roberto Sandrin, follows the Charmat Method. Fermentation starts directly from the must in an autoclave under constant temperature control, thus enhancing the freshness and aromatic purity that characterise this wine.
History and Curiosities
Born from the passion of the Polegato family, Astoria Fashion Victim Moscato masterfully blends contemporary aesthetics with winemaking tradition. The grapes for this cuvée ripen at the Val de Brun Estate, among the Treviso hills recognised as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Oenologist Roberto Sandrin oversees a delicate secondary fermentation at low temperatures starting directly from the must, an ideal technique to preserve its integrity and alluring aromatic purity. Perfect for brightening any toast with refined sweetness.
