Description
What kind of wine it is
Astoria 9.5 Cold Wine Brut is a white sparkling wine that enhances the finesse of Chardonnay. Its dry and fresh profile is distinguished by a fine and persistent perlage, capable of enveloping the palate with precision. On the nose, it reveals an ethereal bouquet, where varietal aromas meet delicate hints of yeast. Thanks to its harmonious balance, it is ideal for accompanying starters, dishes based on white fish, vegetables, and light cheeses.
Where it comes from
This wine originates in Veneto, among the picturesque landscapes of the Prosecco Hills, an area recognised as a World Heritage Site. The vines grow in the Val de Brun Estate, a hilly environment renowned for enhancing the natural liveliness of the grapes. The Astoria winery, through careful management, works to preserve the integrity of the fruit, offering in the glass a clear expression closely linked to the territory.
How it is produced
Production begins with an early harvest, essential for preserving acidity and intensifying fruity aromas. The must is kept at very low temperatures to protect its primary qualities. The secondary fermentation takes place using the Charmat Method in a temperature-controlled autoclave, completing in about forty days. This meticulous process gives rise to a dry Brut that is clean, characterised by an immediate and pleasant sip.
History and Curiosities
Founded in 1987 on the Prosecco hills, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, the Astoria winery has succeeded in the challenge of producing low-alcohol sparkling wine. Made from must preserved at zero degrees, the 9.5 Cold Wine Brut releases a unique freshness thanks to low-temperature fermentation using the Charmat Method. This bold idea won the prestigious Gran Medaglia d’Oro at Vinitaly. Presented in the iconic glossy white bottle with a contemporary design, this sparkling wine embodies refined elegance, perfect for celebrating every special moment.
