Description

What kind of wine it is

Andreola Valdobbiadene Prosecco Calisir Frizzante Spago is an Extra Dry wine that elegantly expresses the character of the Conegliano Valdobbiadene Prosecco region. Made from a harmonious blend of Glera and Verdiso, it stands out for its extremely clean and vibrant aromatic profile. On the nose, delicate floral notes of acacia and rose emerge, intertwined with fresh hints of peach, apple and citrus. On the palate, it is pleasantly fruity, supported by a fine and persistent perlage that creates a creamy and enveloping mousse. The style is balanced and immediate, offering a precise territorial imprint and a pleasant continuity of flavour.

Where it comes from

This wine originates in Veneto, in a hilly landscape shaped by heroic viticulture. The Andreola vineyards, a family-run estate founded in 1984, are located at around two hundred and fifty metres above sea level and are cultivated using the modified Cappuccina system. The vine roots delve into clay soils with sandstone, a complex geological structure that encourages consistent ripening and enriches the texture of the palate. The deep dedication to vineyard care helps preserve a unique environment, enhancing the characteristics of the grapes to achieve an excellent aromatic profile.

How it is produced

Production begins with a harvest carried out between September and October, followed by white vinification with gentle pressing of the bunches and static decantation of the must. The subsequent fermentation at a controlled temperature is essential to maintain the freshness and clarity of the varietal aromas. This is followed by a careful secondary fermentation lasting about thirty days, which gives the wine its characteristic and elegant liveliness. A brief ageing period of a few months completes the production cycle, stabilising the sensory profile and ensuring a soft and inviting sip.

History and Curiosities

Founded in 1984 by Nazzareno Pola, Andreola embodies the spirit of Valdobbiadene DOCG. The family-run company is dedicated to heroic viticulture, where meticulous manual work in the vineyard shapes and preserves the surrounding landscape. Their unwavering commitment to protecting the land and traditions finds its highest expression in the Calisir Frizzante Spago 2024, a wine that blends Glera and Verdiso to offer a delicate, fruity and always satisfying sip.

The work of man modifies the territory, transforming the shape and the rhythm. Since 1984, the year in which Nazzareno Pola founded the family estate in the heart of the zone of production of Valdobbiadene Docg, Andreola has been an active part in this transformation.

Today Stefano Pola continues to manage the estate with the same philosophy as his father, with the awareness that the best protection of the territory is the profound knowledge that Valdobbiadene Docg is not just a product but a living being: the result of the evolution of the vine, of its adaptability to the terrain and the climatic diversity, of labour which is still completely manual, of a "heroic viticulture".
