Description

What kind of wine it is

Cuvée M Margaux Rouge by André Lurton is a still red wine with a typically Bordeaux character. This blend combines Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, presenting itself in the glass with a ruby red colour and intense violet highlights. On the nose, it reveals a complex bouquet, characterised by clear notes of blackcurrant and hints of mocha. On the palate, it displays well-integrated tannins and a dark fruit aftertaste that brings a pleasant freshness. The finish is long, enriched by elegant notes of liquorice. Thanks to an estimated longevity of between ten and fifteen years, it pairs perfectly with red meats, game, pork-based dishes and mature cheeses.

Production: A respect for the typicity of our terroir whilst at the same time always searching for a modernity of style. A respect for the past and the accumulated experience of the region but equally the same respect for our current consumers and their expectations in terms of wine style and quality. We firmly believe in developing technological innovations that allow us to move towards the twin goals of quality and price accessibility.

Environment: As one of the largest producers in the region we believe that we have a particular responsibility with regard to the protection of the environment. Our vineyards in Pessac Léognan are now certified under the terra vitis charter. We are initiating a number of programmes to encourage the biodiversity of the land we manage and to ameliorate the impact of monoculture through the landscaping of all new plantations.
