Description
What kind of wine it is
Altemasi Trento Pas Dosé is a Traditional Method sparkling wine produced in the Trento area. This blend combines Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, revealing a straw yellow colour with greenish highlights and a fine, persistent perlage. On the nose, aromas of yellow plum and dried apricot emerge, accompanied by a delicate hint of anise. The absence of added sugar defines this wine as a pas dosé, with a full, elegant and savoury palate, characterised by splendid persistence of flavour.
Where it comes from
The grapes come from the mountain viticulture districts, located between the Valle dei Laghi, the Cembra Valley and the Dolomite slopes. At an altitude between 450 and 600 metres, the vineyards benefit from significant night-time temperature variations, essential for preserving natural acidic freshness. The calcareous soils rich in stones, well-drained calcareous-marl matrices and fluvioglacial deposits deeply influence the flavour profile, giving the wine a pronounced sapidity.
How it is produced
Harvesting begins at the end of August with the collection of healthy, ripe grapes. The must undergoes a gentle pressing and ferments in stainless steel tanks, allowing the base wine to mature and stabilise. The secondary fermentation takes place in the bottle in spring following the Traditional Method, initiating a 60-month maturation on the lees that enriches the structure and overall elegance. Disgorgement is carried out strictly without added sugars, delivering the purest expression of the territory in the glass.
