Description

Type of wine

Trento Brut by Altemasi is a sparkling wine with the Trento Denominazione di Origine Controllata (DOC), from the Trentino-Alto Adige region. Produced exclusively from Chardonnay using the Traditional Method, it is distinguished by a fresh and vibrant sensory profile. In the glass, it displays a straw-yellow colour with greenish highlights, enlivened by a brilliant white foam and a very fine perlage. The aromatic bouquet blends fruity notes with clear hints of yeast, preceding a full, balanced sip with excellent persistence.

Origin

The grapes come from areas of the Trentino-Alto Adige region particularly suited to sparkling wine production. Specifically, the Chardonnay is grown in the Valle dei Laghi and on the hills surrounding Trento, ideal settings for preserving aromatic freshness. Vineyard management follows the Trentine pergola and Guyot systems, ensuring consistent quality of the raw material. The hillside exposure helps define the structure and the elegant profile that characterise this wine.

Production process

The process involves manual harvesting followed by fermentation in steel at a controlled temperature. The secondary fermentation takes place the following spring, starting the re-fermentation in the bottle according to the standards of the Traditional Method. The wine then ages in underground cellars for a maturation period on the lees of no less than fifteen months, necessary to develop complete organoleptic complexity. The Brut dosage ensures a dry and harmonious finish, making it a lively and well-balanced drink.
