Description
What kind of wine it is
Altemasi Trento Brut is a Traditional Method sparkling wine that enhances Chardonnay within the renowned Trento denomination. In the glass, it displays a straw yellow colour enriched with greenish hues and a very fine and persistent perlage. On the nose, it reveals clear fruity notes that harmoniously intertwine with hints of bread crust. The palate is full, pleasantly fresh and characterised by a long persistence. Served at a temperature between 8 and 10°C, it is ideal for accompanying first courses, delicate white meats and soft cheeses.
Where it comes from
This sparkling wine originates from particularly suitable areas of Trentino, such as the Valle dei Laghi and the hills surrounding Trento. In the mountainous territories suited to the production of Trentodoc, Chardonnay is cultivated using traditional systems such as the Trentino pergola and Guyot. Meticulous vineyard management keeps yields between 80 and 90 hectolitres per hectare, preserving the integrity of the fruit. These geographical and pedoclimatic conditions make it possible to obtain grapes of great freshness, an essential element to ensure the structure and elegance required for sparkling wine production.
How it is produced
The production process begins with the manual harvesting of the bunches, followed by an initial fermentation in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature. In spring, refermentation in the bottle begins according to the strict principles of the Traditional Method. The wine then rests in cool underground cellars for a lees ageing of at least fifteen months, a crucial phase for the development of its aromatic complexity. Careful vinification results in a dynamic flavour profile, also suitable for vegan consumers and naturally gluten-free.
History and Curiosities
Altemasi celebrates the essence of mountain bubbles with the refined Trento Brut Millesimato 2022. Made from Chardonnay grapes hand-picked between the Valle dei Laghi and the Trentino hills, this Traditional Method matures on the lees for at least fifteen months in cool underground cellars. The result is a wine with an extremely fine perlage and fruity notes, offering the palate a fresh, balanced sip with long persistence, confirming itself as a perfect ambassador of Cavit's prestigious sparkling wine tradition.
