Description
What kind of wine it is
Allimant Laugner Crémant d’Alsace Rosé Brut is an elegant Brut rosé sparkling wine. Made from Pinot Noir grapes, it displays a salmon pink colour and a fine perlage that enhances its creamy texture. The bouquet opens with notes of raspberry, wild strawberries and white flowers, enriched by hints of bread crust typical of the Traditional Method. On the palate, it is lively and taut, driven by a bright acidity that leads to a mineral and chalky finish, ensuring excellent structural balance.
Where it comes from
The grapes are grown in Orschwiller, in the heart of Alsace, a prime area for Crémant d’Alsace. The vineyards of the Allimant Laugner estate benefit from a complex soil geology, characterised by chalky marl, granite and gneiss. This subsoil gives the wine a taut flavour profile and pronounced minerality. Managed by the family for two centuries, the estate upholds a strong oenological heritage, ensuring a faithful interpretation of the terroir that results in precise aromatic definition and dry drinkability.
How it is produced
Vinification involves the use of Pinot Noir grapes processed according to the strict Traditional Method. The secondary fermentation in the bottle and the carefully timed ageing on the lees enrich the structure, giving a silky mousse and delicate hints of brioche. The Brut dosage preserves the fruity freshness, enhancing the grape’s natural acidity. Served between 6 and 8°C, this sparkling wine is a versatile food pairing, ideal for accompanying starters, shellfish, cheeses and the spicy notes of Asian cuisine.
