Domaine Lapierre is located in Villié-Morgon, in the heart of Beaujolais, a denomination contested between Burgundy and Rhône, where gamay finds its important expression as a red wine of great pleasantness and immediacy. The Domaine has a history that dates back to the beginning of the 20th century: winemakers for 3 generations, it has been run since 2005 by Mathieu, together with his sister Camille.
The hectares of property are about 13 and extend around the town of Villé-Morgon and 2 on the Côte du Py, belonging to the most important area of Beaujolais: Morgon. The farm has been run according to natural farming criteria since 1981. In 1995, Mathieu's father, Michel Lapierre, also took over Château Cambon from which, in the best years, the cuvée "Le Cambon" is made from a vineyard of about 80 years. All Domaine Lapierre wines are classified as Triple A.
