Glen Elgin

The distillery was part of the three now disappeared, which still survived in Inverness in the 1980s. The first forty years of the distillery were troubled, between fires, financial difficulties and mill conversion, only in 1884 began a steady activity. The distillery was closed in 1983 and then demolished two years later. The best-known bottling is part of the series of Rare Malts even though there are several independent bottles.
